    Euro area house prices rose 4.7% year-on-year in Q1 2026, up 1.0% quarter-on-quarter, after a 5.1% annual increase in Q4 2025. Looking at the full cycle, the euro area HPI annual growth rate hit a cycle maximum of +10.0% in Q1 2022 and a minimum of -2.6% in Q1 2013, then turned negative again in Q2 2023 (-1.4%) and Q3 2023 (-2.1%) — matching the dip visible in the blue line around 2023.
