Wanaka Airport announced the realization of the next NASA super-pressure balloon campaign from New Zealand in 2025.
One of the flights will carry #HIWINDS an experiment aimed to measure the daytime thermospheric winds by monitoring the neutral wind induced Doppler shift in the airglow emission.
The other flight will be a test for the super-pressure balloon itself (still under qualification) probably with a payload of opportunity.
