Mount Shasta From Castle Crags
Description: Castle Crags is quickly becoming my favorite California State Park (Red Rocks is up there, too).
After having driven by multiple times over decades of West Coast roadtrips, I started camping at the park in 2020, I think. It is almost perfectly half way between Seattle and LA on I-5 (or The 5, depending on which town you leave from).
This is my second hike in the park, the first being the day before this photo was taken and that was a ‘stroll’ along the Sacramento River [...]
