The Winter shows herself
Veiled in white
With the winds at her back
A glorious sight
That thrills with chilled shivers
Kissing our faces with stings of frost

Look upon her works
And they are many
A blanket of snow and ice
Protecting the earth, mother of plenty
Shielding her as the land rests
That it may share its gifts in Springtime

Listen to the eerie silence
When the snow has fallen
And not a bird can be heard
It beautifies the earth
Covering the death and decay
And letting man rest from his toil
