Saw the “Haniwa: Tomb Sculptures of Japan” special exhibition which runs until 8 Dec 2024 at the Tokyo National Museum.
Most striking were the 5 Haniwa armoured warriors of which one belonged to Seattle Art Museum.
Thought it'd be less crowded midweek. Hadn't reckoned on the throngs of sprightly senior folk😓
So, no calm contemplation, but well worth the visit.
