Actualización: tuve que descartar #tilda porque empezó a correr en background y no podía traerla arriba de las otras ventanas.
Cambié a #guake, pero no pude configurar el <F1> para desplegarla. Cambié de tecla a <º>, ahí cerquita, pero no me acostumbré.
Volví a testear tilda, y ahora se ve bien... espero que no falle 🤞

Eso sí, tuve que reemplazar mi terminal drop-down, qterminal me empezó a dar problemas con #neovim... así que volví a la vieja y querida #tilda 😃

La petite surprise du matin sur #ArchLinux qui fait pas plaisir : à la suite de la mise à jour de « xkeyboard-config » cette nuit, le terminal pop-up #Guake ne parvient plus à utiliser le raccourci clavier F12 (raccourci par défaut) pour afficher/masquer la pop-up (on a un message d’erreur en notification à son lancement).
Contournement : changer le raccourci pour Maj-F12 (par exemple), mais paie ta mémoire musculaire à recréer… :pfff: -

yo por ejemplo he tocado #GnomeTerminal, #Terminator, #guake, #yakuake, #kitty y #alacritty que recuerde. Pasé un largo tiempo usando #Guake hasta que extrañé mi tecla F12 y decidí usar un área de trabajo completa solo para el terminal, como hago ahora.
De shells he pasado casi toda mi vida en #bash y llegué a tocar #zsh y otras raras pero ahora soy feliz en #fish
¿y ustedes?

@toxision @itsfoss Maybe you need some keyboard shortcut in #Terminator. In #Guake I have to use CTRL-Click to make the hyperlink work.

Anybody here use #Guake terminal? When I switch keyboard layout with Super+Space (Ubuntu 22.04) it focuses Guake so I start typing in it inadvertently and it's driving me 🥜🥜

@emacsomancer The funny thing in my case is that I've never played Quake, and never experienced this kind of drop-down debug/cheat console. Still, about a decade ago I tried #Guake, and got hooked. Just recently I switched over to Tilda (Guake is misbehaving on Plasma 5).
In #Emacs, I have shell-pop.el configured to "drop down" an Eshell window in the top quarter of my frame. It works great, but nowhere near as slick as your #Equake, which I have to try.

Ohh sorry I am not using #Guake anymore. But I remember there was a an easy accessible menu via right-click -> Settings
And then I believe something like Theme/Colors is available from there. -

Well I didn't changed much. Was more playing around with it.
In the file I have given the colors real names but also tried with hash values before.

I am still not really good in all that terminal stuff ;)
If it matters, I am using the default Mate terminal emulator via LinuxMint
But I have also used #Guake, result was the same. -

I was always a fan of solarized color scheme...Terminal, DE, background etc....
Then I found the "Seashells" theme in my #Guake settings and fell in love 😆 -
Ok I never considered a drop-down terminal before. Then I saw it on #XFCE I think. Now installed #Guake on #Mate for #LinuxMint. And what else to say, as that I love it 😻
