TIL that Annet Nieuwhof has published the latest book on the archaeological research at Ezinge, Ezinge revisited. The book is in English, as a lot of academic archaeological research in the Netherlands is, AFAIK.

Some years ago I read her book Eight human skulls in a dung heap, and more. Ritual practice in the terp region of the northern Netherlands 600 BC - AD 300, for a research project I never finished because, well, life and such.

Today's protest for Gaza and Palestine in Groningen.
A lot of people took information. It's clear that the majority do want action to be taken against Israel. Most people do not want to support a genocide.
Boycott Israel. All their products, not just the ones from illegally occupied Palestinian land. Products from illegally occupied land will already be illegal to sell in the Netherlands from later this month, but that's not enough.

Groningers zijn vannacht opgeschrikt door de op één na zwaarste aardbeving ooit in de provincie. De beving had een kracht van 3,4. Het epicentrum van de beving lag bij Zeerijp, ten noordoosten van de stad Groningen.
