Thinking about starting a #GreenCoding & #GreenWeb blog, because I haven't seen one which aggregates news yet (like https://wptavern.com/ e.g.). I see lots of stuff on LinkedIn every week.

But blogs are a bit left behind nowadays (Getting into YouTube Shorts would maybe generate more awareness for the topic). And it's time consuming + it's connected to the big lost fight for 1,5 / 2 degree celsisus: You have to beg Mega Corps like Google, Amazon & Co to take action = can be depressing. 🤷🤔

Based on scientific research the usage of #ArrayList and #HashMap is discouraged due to higher #EnergyConsumption leading to higher #CarbonEmission|s. 5% #EnergySaving|s can be achieved.

Now I'm searching for ways to measure energy consumption in #Java Microbenchmark Harness (#JMH) to start working on the higher hanging fruits/recommendations of the paper: https://doi.org/10.1007/s10664-021-09950-y
