  6. Unfortunately I haven't been able to configure Lynx to open mpv with a video file. If I set the filetype to ";" (video) gophernicus displays "MOV". I've tried all the Lynx config tricks to no avail:

    VIEWER:video/*:mpv --title="Mpv" %s &:XWINDOWS

    EXTERNAL:video:xdg-open %s &:TRUE:TRUE

So I've set the filetype to "9", BIN, so that Lynx proposes to download the video file.

  7. @michaelc I really want to make something of my gopher://tiredof.technology space but I'm soon moving which means I will re-locate the server as it is self-hosted using #gophernicus via Docker. I want to move it to its own dedicated RPi where I can really expand it.

  12. I've added some content to my #gopher server by turning my #blog into a #phlog.

I wrote a simple perl script that takes an RSS feed of a blog and turns the posts into individual text files. Combined with #gophernicus, which can automagically generate gophermaps, I should have a text-only mirror of my blog available on the gopher network. 🐹

  17. I am a little disappointed that two #Debian packages that I treasure were removed from the unstable branch and presumably may be lost in future stable branches. They are #rawdog and #pygopherd. I have replaced pygopherd, a gopher server, with #gophernicus and that turned out well. I may also be wrong on my belief that rawdog may be exempt from future Debian stable branches because I see that it will be present in #bullseye. I really love rawdog but I think it's written in Python2 and I'm assuming that's the reason it's not represented in #Sid, the Debian unstable branch. Does anyone have any clues? For those who do not know, rawdog is a, RSS Aggregator Without Delusions Of Grandeur, clever.
