I got one of those scammy phishing emails today. So-and-so would like to feature your book in our reading group or whatever. You can probably hear my eyes rolling when I open those up. This one was more vague than ever, and full of mumbo-jumbo talk. At least it didn't look official at all, no need for me to waste some time to look things up.

Those random "misdirected" text messages I've shared with #GonePhishing have slowed way down. Why? The Thai army just freed hundreds of workers forced to work the scam from Myanmar!

Why do so many romance scams involve a dinner invitation? Especially a specific one like seafood, Chinese, Thai, etc. I wonder if this is more effective against Westerners in general than against me? Or maybe it makes the message sound authentic?

Another #GonePhishing signature is the lack of spacing or double spacing after what I presume are mad libs style tokens. Something in their text generator is borken.

This is super weird wording. AI written spam?

Just got a phishing text from an SMS short code, followed by a phone call and robotic voicemail from the scammers. They have my name and account number. Fun! #GonePhishing.
Searching for that toll free number only finds scam warnings, and I keep the debit card locked at all times.
