#caturday and #glebe garage sale day
cold enough to need a trenchcoat- there are some beauties left on the rack and more coming
stash it in our new upcycled shirt bags - free with purchase - an option instead of a paper bag
these are made from fem tops, with a single straight machine stitch along the bottom and a small stamp on the inside. if you like the shirt, remove the stitch and wear it!

Post our #Bondi swim event we had a walk around Watson's Bay headland, accompanied by green parrots, with another short cooling swim at Lady Bay beach. The next morning we took a lazy walk to nearby Leichhardt aquatic centre and swam lengths in their lovely 50m external pool, followed by a early evening Christmas concert in #Glebe, where Santa arrived, to much delight, on a Firies truck! We have had such a great time (again) in glorious #Sydney, but are soon to be heading up north. #Australia

More context on why the Greens member for Balmain opposed the continuous footpath crossings and footpath widening on St Johns Road, Glebe, Sydney: https://aus.social/@jakecoppinger/109939984936257348
I wrote to Jamie Parker (Greens Member for Balmain (State Gov)) and he assured me that Bill's disagreement with the proposal was that extended widening of the footpath would "reduce space available for existing cyclists and would also mitigate opportunities for dedicated cycleways in the future." (info shared with permission).
Jamie said he knew that the project would get support to proceed (as the required majority supported it) but still felt he needed to make a clear statement about cycling issues if they arise on the agenda in future.
He emphasized his representatives on the various committees he has a vote on are always focused on minimising car use, prioritising pedestrian and bike movements, with an objective to maximise active transport opportunities where ever they arise.
I'm appreciative of their quick and candid response! It's frustrating this context is not accessible from the meeting minutes.
