@MLNow and this is a problem - cutting MUNI will:
Hurt all who cannot drive, esp those with impaired mobility and vision.
Delay meaningful movement on mode shift, essential #ClmateAction to reduce transportation emissions.
Increase air and water pollution from PM2.5 from tires and brakes.
Increase congestion
#TNCs - even Waymo & Zook - are not a substitute for many reasons. (Bus fare vs TNC charges? Ever get into a Waymo with a mobility scooter or wheelchair? It's easy on a #MUNI bus)
And we need Mayor Laurie & BOS to actively fight at the state level for better options to #FundTransit. Will they?

We were so proud to be part of Saturday's funeral march & rally for public transit with Scott Wiener and hundreds of advocates.
Now we need everyone to call Gov. Newsom and other state leaders to ask they fund transit in the state budget.
These calls are fast & easy -- use the phone numbers below. Then simply tell a friendly staffer where you’re from, why transit matters to you, and ask that their member work with the governor on fully funding transit.
