Septa, at least back in December, was exploring similar arrangements with farther-away agencies. I had this romantic idea of a small crew with a Septa locomotive just riding around the country adding one carriage to the back at a time, though I'm sure they don't actually do it that way. But they should.

  3. Major changes to Philadelphia's #SEPTA bus network happen Sunday. Billy Penn has a useful writeup: billypenn.com/2026/08/19/septa

Near where I live in northwest Philly, the 53 bus route will turn at Lincoln Drive to go to Carpenter station on the Chestnut Hill West line instead of continuing on Wayne to Carpenter's Woods. There's also a new route 72 going along Cheltenham Ave on the city line, eventually reaching Frankford station at the end of the L. Bus routes in Roxborough and Manayunk also change.

  4. Just watched an old SEPTA bus sign come down and new one go up. The new black one was hung a few feet lower and had way more info. Overall, as a designer I like the new updates. Check it out.

  7. Governer Shapiro cleans up the mess left by senate republicans again

Just incredible that we're renovating 50 year old trains because of a total lack of funding from the state, and Republicans are blaming SEPTA's problems on bad management. Fuck you Joe Pittman!
