#AO73 / #FUNcube 1 has been switched from autonomous mode to continuous transponder mode for the holiday period. This means that the transponder is available for use 24/7.

Anticipated to revert to autonomous mode sometime after January 5, 2025 #amsat #hamradio #hamr

Today 6 years ago, #JY1Sat (JO-97) launched into space.

Filing some government paperwork for #FUNcube-1 / AO-73 operations, and I am extra proud of the "no anomalies to report since the last audit".

It's not the expected outcome for a satellite operator audit, as most satellites have some form of anomaly during operations. #cubesat

oh, glad to hear it works. wanted to use it like 10 or 12 years ago, and it was far from stable, the kernels froze. then it was still in staging/. but sometimes plugging and removing and operation worked smooth. I think I used a #funcube dongle then.

@vk2gpu does it mean it only works statically today? no hot-plug today?

Although the degradation slowly continues, FUNcube is still happily working in orbit, following #DelfiC3 footsteps.

Due to an issue in data handling, the #FUNcube-1 (AO-73) data uploaded to the warehouse has not been properly displaying since the 7th of January.
We're working to fix the problem.
