I mean, okay, at the end of it, you gain the truly epic ability to unleash the Blackwall on your foes… out of desperation… but still… that was already a super fucked-up mission, AND THEN you have to watch these operatives tear out their own eyeballs and hear their tormented screeches as you carry Songbird to the train in one hand, inflicting a rogue AI on every last operative along the way with the other…

So… yeah… in case you’re wondering, I feel physically ill in actual meatspace now. But at least downing that otherwise indestructible helicopter felt righteous.

I expect my in-game bodycount has tripled from this one mission alone, Jesus-fucking-Christ

Yupp. Confronted directly by Hansen at the Roulette table, made us both as FIA operatives, already had Reed under guard, proceeded to threaten us directly as well as expose President Myers for breaching the Blackwall (like psh who hasn’t), but oh so magnanimously allowed us to walk out the front door unharmed

So I cashed out my winnings, bumped into Lizzy Wizzy who gave me this banging headdress, mouthed off to the guards until they were actually apologetic to me, took one step outside and then hacked their mechs as a going away present

So far the party is exactly the type of shallow, gaudy extravagance one can expect of a petty dictator, and the guest list is truly absurd

Okay, I’m not surprised by the Arasaka agents cutting a deal with Weldon Holt to spin the whole murder-of-the-former-mayor accusations into a City Hall ordered extrajudicial killing

But then there’s this Reverend. Media starlets and celebrities. Some random mobsters. The NCPD. 6th Street. Spooked investors. And… the evil twin of Takemura??

I wonder how long before my cover is blown? With this mixed bag of guests, I’m bound to be recognized

Been milking Dogtown for all its worth ahead of the big event at the Black Sapphire, and dug up some interesting intel that should prove useful:

- A whole lot of Voodoo Boy netrunners were hired by Barghest for the event, like a LOT
- The event itself will be a real who’s-who of corpo pigdogs that need to be put down
- Tech side of security includes biomon jammers, so not even Trauma Team will show up to the rescue
- The emphasis on revealing so much of Songbird’s mental health issues is interesting from a narrative standpoint, heavily susceptible to Stockholm Syndrome, so I’m expecting a double-cross or the event being a full-on trap; she may not even want to be rescued, believing in captivity that she’s really been a double-agent the whole time
- It’s also possible that it’s a different kind of set-up—Hansen, being the petty little dictator he is, has remained strangely blasé to the mayhem I’ve been causing in Dogtown, with no retribution for picking off his top lieutenants one-by-one, raiding every supply drop I can get my hands on, or sabotaging his business arrangements with the Scavs and Voodoo Boys
- Given who Hansen is, illustrated best by how hard he went down on Paco, for narrative consistency there’s really only one other option: this whole fiasco with Songbird is a recruitment effort, and all the netrunners and tech security are to say, he won’t take no for an answer
- So hey, pretty sure this is going to turn into a massacre for the ages—haven’t been practicing my mega-rampages for nothin’
- The hard part is going to be getting Songbird out of there alive, no matter what her state of mind: who knows, maybe she’s been a double-agent all along and she helped down Spaceforce One in the first place

The heat got so high, had no choice but to dive into the river and swim for it—Scavs, Maelstrom, Tyger Claws, the Valentinos, and 6th Street all fighting ALONGSIDE the police; even when my wanted-level disappeared, the #NCPD and #MaxTac are still hitting the streets hard, in full force looking for me, so I’m laying low, sneaking my way to a fast travel terminal, donning my optical camo and gettin’ the fuck outta dodge while I still can

Holy fucking hell, I crossed too many lines this time, and now all of #NightCity is out to get me

There’s something weird, spooky, yet subtle, that keeps happening every time I resort to violence in the mean streets of Night City

I keep hearing this muted, somewhat distant maniacal laughter, creeping closer and closer with every person killed

It’s more vivid when I activate cyberware overload

But then it doesn’t happen at all if I stick to non-lethal takedowns and quickhacks

It sure is bringing new meaning and authenticity to my #FullCyberpsycho rampages though 😳
