Trump goes to some effort to flood the zone with shit #FTZWS.
He has found the response by the media and public useful. He benefits by disrupting rational discourse.
The other possible effects of a Trump FTZWS event can be missed in the heat of the moment. These have included #PowerGrab s and #MonkeyWrenchTheSystem.
The power grabs are the most dangerous I think.
We've seen the start of the havoc he's made by taking and using the power to declare tariffs.

I think Trump talking about invading Canada and Greenland is both him flooding the zone with shit - diluting out useful public discourse, and monkeywrenching the system of diplomatic relationships and inter-nation communication.
