    I saw a Union Pacific train in Austin the other day with 64 cars.

    I know that's quite short compared to some; I once counted more than 200, and one with 234 was derailed not that long ago.

    I still don't really understand how these scores of cars are put in order.

    Although I am always awestruck by these trains, I try to keep in mind the problematic past and present of the railroad business in the USA.
