Yesterday, I was helping someone with their unresponsive #android smartphone: they had bought it new 3 years ago, and were already considering buying a new one given how slow it had become. Turns out, if you delete all the preinstalled bloatware and disable that fucking #Gemini that Google is trying to push down everyone's throat, it can be all snappy again!
That last point is no small feat though: disabling Gemini is the new Where is Waldo 😵💫

Last Sunday, I made my first attempt at offering free digital support to a non-technical crowd. The main focus was to help install ad blockers, but it was also the opportunity to adjust accessibility settings, remove bloatware, and give various tech tips.
It was part of a freeshop event here in Valence, France. I installed 12 ad-blockers and a few alternative YouTube frontend (Tubular) in a few hours, and had some nice chats on digital tools; will do it again 😄
