  4. RE: mastodon.social/@akallabeth/11

For the poor smucks (like myself) who are stuck needing to connect to locked down Windows remote desktops for whatever reason, I've done a thing! I contributed support for passthrough that just got released with 3.25.0, so that resources gated by passkey can be accessed in the remote machine. Please enjoy responsibly

  12. If there is one thing I'd like to see in #wayland is multi-monitor love. Currently remote desktop viewers can't show multiple monitors (#freerdp) and #firefox can't restore windows on correct monitors or virtual ones.

  13. What's up with #Remmina on #Ubuntu? I have weird typing issues (duplicate characters, etc.). Switched to plain #FreeRDP and then all is well.

It did take me a while to find out what the command line is. Why on earth is the display version as a prefix? Why not a suffix? =)) xfreerdp3 vs wlfreerdp3 vs sdl-freerdp3 etc. and how am i supposed to know, that wlfreerdp3 isn't good? Neither is the SDL version. In the end the X11 version works like a charm on Wayland... go figure...

Liebes Gnome-Team, was mich betrifft, habt Ihr Euren langen Kampf, Gnome unbenutzbar zu machen, endlich gewonnen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!

… sudo apt install cinnamon …

Leider verursachten Mausbewegungen gelegentlich Grafik Fehler

  21. Just like with MS Windows RDP I want with Linux to
    1. log on locally with my account on myPC
    2. lock the session (not log off) and leave the office
    3. connect via RDP from anotherPC and take over the local session with all open windows (without unlocking the session on myPC as with VNC)

"Vice versa" (first starting a connection via RDP, resume locally on myPC later) should work, too.
