  1. I'm a big fan of the Frankston Football Club so excuse the occassional "off topic" toot from this account but frustrating to read there are off-field shenanigans (fraud and toxicity) after the stellar on-field performance of the club the last two years.

  2. In #Frankston with a smart 2-minute change at the same platform to the #StonyPointLine, a single-track diesel line to the southern coast. The old Sprinter units are now used only here and on the broad-gauge line to Seymour.

From Stony Point you can get with a small ferry to FrenchIsland and #PhillipIsland, the latter famous for its beaches and wildlife parks.

  3. just got accosted by a local objecting to the $340m new development about 500m from here. I don't think I'll do my usual thing of lodging a letter of support, but I'm ok with it. #frankston

  4. What do you do when you need to quickly update the #melbourne subway map when a new line opens? #generativeAI to the rescue. There were a few casualities, like poor #NoblePark, (Noble Pork) and #frankston .. props to @lindamciver for this gem.

  5. I’m around Frankston today. I’m really attached to the rough edges of the place. That (so far) the gentrification has not swept them away. There is a guy walking up and down shouting at the sky. #frankston

  6. it's that time of year when you give up on trying to shop in Frankston and instead go to Somerville or Hastings. Just insanity, even on a bike. #frankston

  7. my morning walk is a watch on the tradies living in a caravan and renovating the house that has been empty for 20 years. Have completed gutting the inside but have not touched the outside. #frankston

  8. there was a Maserati in the Frankston shopping centre car park. It’s getting ridiculous #frankston

  9. went shopping in Frankston yesterday. Security guard every 100m in the mall and two security in the store. Even then an unruly person ("I have five thousand dollars in my pocket") was causing an incident in Chemist Warehouse. Let's be careful out there. (this is literally around the corner from the "Age cafe of the year"). #melbourne #frankston

  10. on my bicycle ride I pass the memorial to Natalie Russell. This is when I arrived in Frankston, and I arrived at the point where it was at rock bottom. casefilepresents.com/the-frank #frankston

  11. Good things do happen. I asked my local Frankston council representative whether we could have some seats in our small park. He said "I'll ask and see what happens". They have started work on the seats. #frankston

  12. Gentrification: the reality. Last week one day I was out walking the dog. There were four other dog walkers - all of them paid walkers. No owners. This is getting ridiculous. #frankston

  13. I am sitting in the park and people are fishing. #frankston

  14. Can you destroy our beach to save your home by building on crown land? Absolutely not. This dude will be required to remove the wall and pay compensation. Under the legislation he can be required to pay $12k per day that the works continue. That is $1.5m to date. #frankston abc.net.au/news/2025-07-22/fra

  15. local consensus - this is just a person that likes seeing his face in the media. This is Port Phillip Bay, not the open ocean. His “mansion” Is not in any way threatened #frankston abc.net.au/news/2025-07-21/fra

  16. full marks to the young dad out running this morning at 8am with twins asleep in the stroller #frankston

  17. Festival of junk update. We have a neighbour whose whole block looks honestly like a tip. It has two trucks and endless dead things, rusting equipment. Not a spare square metre. Their hard rubbish contribution? A single small styrofoam child's surfboard. They are trolling the festival. #frankston

  18. on local real estate. The three expensive houses have not sold. But the cheap one also not sold. This is normal. Nobody buys here in winter. #frankston

  19. it's time for the annual festival of junk in my neighbourhood. You can enhance your social standing by putting something in quite good working order out for collection by passers by #frankston

  20. Frankston, in Victoria, Australia, is a popular holiday town on Port Phillip Bay. It has this lovely old pier, with an approaching shower. Probably why the only people on the beach are in the water - they're already wet!

  21. we have a flat 1km path around a court. One resident is 90+ and he runs laps around the block. Gets lots of encouragement along the way. #frankston

  22. one of the universal rules of public transport is that your Frankston train will arrive 2 minutes after the hourly bus has left #frankston #pt
