I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the Tas vehicle registration form (A4 printed page) is a glory to behold.
It seems to do a dozen different things, and those things are spread across the page and jumbled together in weird and wonderful ways.
Among other gems, it has:
- 7 barcodes
- 3 QR codes
- 9 dates
- 3 written URLs
- 6 reference numbers (or some such)
- 3 logos, plus an icon
- 3 copies of the vehicle details
- 3 street addresses
… and that’s just the front. The back is used for transferring rego or disposing of a vehicle, setting up an account, a short form of their privacy statement and a link to learn road rules.A wonderful example of a form that has evolved, but never been completely redesigned.
I honestly can’t imagine how anyone with even the slightest problems with reading or comprehension can deal with it.(Sorry, can’t really get a photo without revealing a great deal of personal information).
