By the end of the year I want to set up a shop to sell my original artwork. I've heard that Etsy is a bit crap these days, and I'm currently considering using Folksy or Big Cartel. Would be very grateful if anyone has any insight into these options for selling art, or if anyone has had a good experience selling on any other platforms/services.

Handmade and arty business folk in the UK. I once used Folksy and it was pleasant. I made the mistake of putting my effort into Etsy. I'm sick of the ongoing horrors there. Is Folksy good? Should I jump in on Folksy Plus? Is there anywhere else I might consider?
I do already have my own website with shop but it's quiet and I can see the benefits of community from somewhere like Folksy.

Trying to get set up on Folsky and discovered that I can't add any of my social links. Giving me a fixed set of social options is dubious anyway, but making them exclusively the platforms I can't use just sucks.
