I got the #FNIRSI #FNB58 USB-C tester, as far as I’m aware, it could only test the charging speed capability of a cable (which I believe, is also subject to the charger you have the cable’s attached to, too).
Is there an easy/reliable way of testing data transfer speed too (with or without that FNIRSI device)? On a #Linux PC, or a #macOS machine. I’d like to just check if a #Thunderbolt cable, for example, is actually capable or at least recognised as a 80Gbps cable - or if it’s attached to a 10Gbps USB-C to USB-A adapter, it’s capable of 10Gbps, etc.
