  1. Christos Argyropoulos, University of New Mexico Heavy user of both #flozins and #nsMRA >> your grandpa's #MRA (only in those who cannot get the former) #Nephjc

  2. It seems the usual #EBM suspects are making snarky comments about #CONFIDENCE similar to their comments about #flozins #sglt2i in the years leading up to CREDENCE/DAPA-CKD/EMPA-KIDNEY.
    It was obvious then (and it is now) that they don't understand how UACR works as a biomarker

  9. If I were you I'd start praying that the #flozins and the #MRAs hold the fort. If not, not good things will happen by the mid 2030s

  16. Should you hesitate to start #Flozins higher when sugars too high? Here’s that idea debunked in a propensity score matched analysis in JAMA IM

    jamanetwork.com/journals/jamai

    Efficacy maintained and AEs consistent across HgbA1c strata (and all favouring Flozins except genital infxn)

    Any comments @mike_johansen @ChristosArgyrop @Bneuen ?

  17. Sick day rules and #Flozins

    Detailed contrarian review and good discussion of #SGLT2i use during hospitalization pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/358013 (gated)

    Given the benefit: the authors suggest continuing Flozins and doing daily glucose + ketones testing

    @ChristosArgyrop & @mike_johansen for thoughts?

  22. @hswapnil @mike_johansen This is cool! We are working on medication specific guidelines to harmonize prescriptions of #Flozins, #GLP1ra, #nsMRA etc across #primarycare, #cardiology, #endocrinology and #nephrology, which has been a fun project. I think at our institution, nephrology prescribed most aggressively, but that is probably the effect of having Amy Mottl in our division.

  23. @load_dependent @LaurieTomlinson @jordy_bc @hswapnil
    Maybe the rule is: stop #flozins when fasting. Any info on 12-18h fasts as in Ramadan or intermittent fasting?
