Things I learned on vacation...
I'm old. I'm only 4 years away from being eligible to live here.
The resident volunteers at the club house are listening to Aerosmith.

I've realized that I use the same tactic with my dad as I did with my 6yr old when they would tell me stories. The only difference is my son would be talking about Pokemon and my dad was talking about his tour of the Walmart distribution center.
"Their meat room didn't have lights because everything was done by robots."
Huh... Cool.
"They wouldn't let us into the banana room because everything there was proprietary."
Really. Wow.

My dad has made us pancakes for a 2nd day. I think he's trying to fatten us up.

Swimming in the old people pool... Apparently retirement life is standing in the pool with your baseball hat on and drinking Miller Lite in a beer coozie.

Driving around down here and I'm surprised by the number of homes and businesses still damaged by #HurricaneIan. My dad says some people aren't scheduled to get their roofs repaired until October. About 1/4 of the homes in his neighborhood still have missing lanais.

It's been almost 6 years and it still feels like my mom is just in another room and hasn't gotten up yet.

My dad has a clock that "chimes" Ave Maria right outside the bedroom.
I guess 9am is what time we're getting up on vacation.

My dad's phone has a notification that goes off at random intervals and he never checks it. I don't know if he doesn't know it's going off or what but it's driving me crazy.
