If you or anyone you know has/had plans to get in or out of DC or NYC today, fuggitaboutit. One look at Flightaware's Misery Map confirms there are a LOT of parked airplanes from KDFW thru KATL all the way to KBOS.
By the numbers, via #flightaware
Total delays within, into, or out of the United States today: 3,559
Total cancellations within, into, or out of the United States today: 11,034
And even many of the trains and busses are also parked.

The head of the FBI’s critical incident response group (a 27 year veteran) was told he could resign instantly or be fired after flight schedules and tail tracking information for one of the FBI's private jets was public. The flight info detailed FBI Director Kash Patel's use of the private jet to go on a date night with his girlfriend. Jet tracking data is fully in the public domain.

Evidence of a massively busy travel day. On a typical weekday, my flight tracker sees maybe 80-100 flights. Today, it's been consistently 130+
The tracker is located about 45 miles NE of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Many of the flights are pointed toward or away from the airport, which is located just south of downtown Atlanta.

There is a weird correlation between companies "valuing my privacy" and my privacy being invaded. Maybe if all these companies quit valuing my data this would all solve it's self?

#flightaware had a data breach and exposed passwords (amongst other critical information). Action? "Please reset your password" What, so you can store them as plaintext again?

Anyone know if the #FlightAware "security incident" involved plaintext passwords? Certainly smells like it... First I'm seeing anything about this.
