Do they think we are idiots? So the Cons put in a rent cap at 2% (temporarily) now have raised it to 5%, but the BIG issue is that landlords have a loophole big enough to drive a tandam 18 wheeler through -- "fixed term leases" mean the landlord cannot increase YOUR rent, but they can just refuse to rent to you again and charge a new tenant MUCH more... since no cap on "vacant" units.
