    Northwards late morning:

    • 2 pelicans each standing on a lamppost
    • 2 pelicans each loafing on a lamppost, either side of the bridge
    • 1 pelican spotted loafing on a lamppost near the jetty

    Southwards late afternoon:

    • 3 pelicans each standing on a lamppost
    • 1 pelican spotted loafing on a lamppost near the jetty

  15. Always look in the stormwater drains. This great egret (white heron as we call it) stepped out of the drain under the Five Island Bridge to hunt in the water flowing into the lake.

    Always look up too, especially at lamp posts next to water. Maybe don't stand under them though.
