  1. The #OMN takes a deliberately different path, not building around “nobody gets the power” pretending governance doesn't exist. It is grown from the harder principle that no individual gets to own power.

    Not me. not you, not the cleverest developer,
    not the loudest activist or the person who got there first. Not the person with the biggest server, or the person with the biggest following, not a little committee that slowly becomes an unelected aristocracy.

    This matters because “decentralisation” defaults to easily to a form of #stupidindividualism. Everyone is supposedly free, supposedly has their own power. But in practice power accumulates around whoever has the time, money, technical knowledge, social connections or biggest platform.

    That isn't a commons, it is just #feudalism with better branding. The #OMN idea is closer to shared infrastructure with distributed responsibility. Power comes from participation, trust comes from doing.

    Governance is visible, processes are open, decisions can be challenged, mistakes can be corrected, people can leave. And nobody gets to quietly turn the commons into their personal kingdom.
