Today I started catching up on the last couple of editions of A View From Afar, beginning with the May 18 edition;

It's so vindicating to hear someone from Buchanan's background say this. Like most anarchists in Aotearoa, I've been saying this since the 1990s, if not longer.

I think AVFA is going to be one of my regular podcast listens this year. Far more insight per edition than the Bradbury Bunch, and they're shorter and less frequent.

So EITHER;
* this claim is wrong; governments of any style, with domestic troubles and a military hardware to depreciate, will do it
OR
* the analysis is correct; military adventurism is a red flag that a government's accountability to its citizens has collapsed

Just listening to Manning and Buchanan talking about Syria;

We are now living through #WW3.
Why do I say this? Because a few months ago there were 3 separate proxy wars in 2 separate regions; the Syrian civil war, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and IDF genocide in Gaza. Now they're all joining up at the edges.
