How much are labor-management issues a barrier to adoption of the Eurostack?
It seems like employers would rather use SaaS providers in less labor-friendly jurisdictions—even if it means putting customer data at risk—than keep data in the EU and hire IT workers in places that are more regulated and/or unionized

Everyone was all app in arms about Digid hosting being sold to the US. This is not much better. Donald Trump could still cripple all of our authentication with a single phone call if he'd e.g. decide he wants to annex Greenland.

Le alternative per il singolo cittadino esistono, ma non prendono piede per ignoranza o effetto network. Ci vorrebbero campagne informative ad hoc. Per l'AI basterebbe far girare modelli open su infrastrutture europee.
Temo che il vero problema siano i pagamenti digitali, a oggi non credo esistano alternative a Visa e Mastercard.

Also, Europe and the rest of the world are moving away from closed source companies, run by Silicon Valley tech bros, and subject to the tyranny of the USA. #Eurostack is a rising trend as the world chooses #DigitalSovereignty and moves to #FOSS for the sake of its security.
Be careful PLEASE, much of so called foss is us controlled.
Avoid us tech like Red hat (IBM) Linux, Amazon, microslop linux, suse, Cent, Oracle.
Personally I also avoid Systemd, us slop.

I have been slowly moving away from US controlled tech, the remaining bits are ones I can't control really: banking + payments, DK state ITs love affair with microsoft, apps needed to access state services.
And if someone can come up with a way to persuade teenagers this is cool. That would be nice.
Of course what the piece misses is the huge commercial reliance on the back end stack.We desperately need #Eurostack.

... it is also having control over the software that runs software, having the software that builds other software and, maybe the hardest of all: having legitimate business models that make any software even possible.
It would take significant European ingenuity, creativity and practical vision to create comprehensive #eurostack type software alternatives.
It will take innovations that are more social and cultural in nature than technical and engineering.
