I think the Gnostic Christian god is the most likely one to exist because, based on the old testament alone, god is at worst a childish wrathful god constantly vying for our attention.

But to the early gnostics, god is either evil and relishes in our suffering or it is indifferent to us and made us on a whim.

I like that last god because it plays into my idea of a "cosmic probability" god. A god who isn't invested in our success and is more or less rolling the dice indifferently like a dungeon master who doesn't hide its rolls.

But like any dungeon master, if you get it's attention, it might start changing the odds a little.

Hi this is Cookie! I have worked as a technician in various art studios and #makerspaces for the past ten years. For longer than that I have made art and music. I have also done a lot of work in #ArtEducation including performative workshops. I run an Open Source #ComputerClub at u of toronto.

Currently I am working on a #webart project called “Exodus Big Techius: Root to leaving Google/Apple/Microsoft for the Collective Open Source”. My other current focus is prepping for #OHS2026 where I will be exhibiting a sound #sculpture and a new art book.

For fun, I'm very into #knitting and am a member of the local spinner and weavers guild. I love hiking and native pollinator gardening. I am planning to learn #bikepacking and the bass clarinet this summer. I love anachronisms, synchronicities, and #esoterica. I wonder about becoming a shepherd or lighthouse keeper.

New batch of incense finally finished that I started last summer.
I make my own incense to use and sell in my shop. While I usually gather plants, berries and resins for this specific purpose, it is also a good use for the bits of plant material left over from other uses. It is respectful of the plant to use all the parts you have gathered and not waste anything. I use both wild and garden herbs, flowers, bark, resin, leaves and stalks. I use pine, fir, spruce, cedar, bark, cones, leaves and resin. I use flowers such as yarrow, lavender, rose and clover. I add crushed berries such as saskatoons, mahonia, juniper or elderberry as well as honey and mead for binding.

Making my own incense 2 or 3 times per year is intensely satisfying and a spiritual way to honour the land. It is also a great alternative to buying incense and resins from countries on the other side of the world that are often from endangered species or exploited sources. While I do have a few from other places I have visited, namely Glastonbury, I use them only for very special occasions. I was inspired by the Glastonbury incenses from Star Child (they use local ingredients) and the scent takes me right back to the Red Spring. I've now created new scent memories with my own blends used for special ceremonies and rituals right here.
