New version of #Wikisource Export released just now. Nothing major changed. :-)
The next thing is to maybe stop advertising that people download PDF and Mobi formatted books! (That's contentious I know, and I'm not going to actually change anything.) These formats are generated from the #EPUBs and people can do that themselves locally — running #Calibre in the cloud is just so frustrating. (Not to mention that a Wikimedia site advertising Amazon's proprietary format is just wrong.)

I'd sell my soul to have bundled html + css + images + assets in a zipped format.
Basically, modern web - all of javascript. Instead of using PDFs.
That'd be a banger way to create and distribute documents. Also very versatile and portable, cuz, like, websites lol. Prove me wrong.

Spent the past few DAYS trying to figure out why the #epubs I was loading onto my jailbroken #kindle Paperwhite weren't showing up in #koreader's file browser. Today I realized I had set the view to filter by books in the "reading" state.
I love the functionality koreader adds to my old Kindle, but somehow its menus are the least intuitive I've ever seen.

I'm going to re-iterate again that I adore #epubs. It's one of the few times that you feel that you actually own digital content. Yes, it does make it easier for your #book to be pirated. I thought about it and decided that it was a worth it allowing people to own a copy and risk it being stolen. That is why I do my best to make sure nothing I release is DRMed.
This is me and I don't fault any other that thinks otherwise. It's an #author personal choice. #writingcommunity #indieauthor

I guess it's primarily aimed at academics, but I've moved all my #Kindle #epubs to #zotero. So far epub support is only in beta on ios and missing on android, but I use the web library both on iPhone and Boox which works well.
(To make up for the lacking cover view I even made an app, #ZotShelf for android: https://oyvindsolheim.com/other/zotshelf/)
And thanks for the reminder to liberate the audible books..

Calibre + Abode Digital Editions work nicely on Windows but ADE doesn't appear to be supported natively on Linux & I'd prefer not to install Wine or an equivalent (no, I don't want to debate this point, thanks).
