The Ombudsman is elected for a 5-year renewable term by the EU Parliament.
The #Ombudsman deals with complaints and carries out inquiries into cases of alleged maladministration in the activities of the EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies, except the CJEU.
Currently the position is held by an Ombudswoman, Teresa Anjinho, whose offices are in Brussels and Strasbourg.

Sure, here's an overview: https://european-union.europa.eu/institutions-law-budget/institutions-and-bodies/types-institutions-and-bodies_enSome context that I explained at the start of this #EPSOprep series:
I am studying for an exam about the EU, that would allow me to become a civil servant. It's called the #EPSO, which stands for European Personnel Selection Office.
This year they are organising the first exam for "generalists" since 2019, and 170k people signed up. So I am making content out of my efforts to prepare, so sometimes I get real niche... -

The European Parliament works in committees, that usually have four-letter names that are abbreviations or portmanteaus or short words relating to their subject matter. For example, the constitutional affairs committee is AFCO
(AFfairs Constitutional).

A. Cannot say. Although school classes were suspended, the text does not specify how long for.
B. False. Members of the armed forces were used to provide assistance, not to deal with civil unrest.
C. Cannot say. There were people in the streets when the hurricane arrived, but the text suggests they were likely to have known it was coming but didn’t expect it to arrive so quickly.
D. True. The text states that “most residents” stayed at home or in shelters.

Which one of the following policy areas is an exclusive competence of the EU?

The correct answer here is:
The European Commission!
Normally the Commission puts forward a legislative proposal, and then it goes to the Parliament, who makes amendments and votes on passing it or not. After that it goes to the Council for a final vote. However, the Parliament can call on the Commission to make a legislative proposal. An example of this is “the right to disconnect ” which Parliament called for and Commission is now working on.

@s1m0n4 The good thing is, you don't actually need to be able to 1 per minute, if you think about it.
The reasoning portion of the #EPSO tests these days are pass/fail.
So, you just need to be ablet to do 6 of these in 10 minutes.
That also means developing the skill to quickly realise when one of these will take you longer, and quicly moving on to the next and solving that one.
So i recommend practicing these in sets of 5 or 10 to practice your judgement -

9th of May is the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration.
More about that here: https://european-union.europa.eu/principles-countries-history/history-eu/1945-59/schuman-declaration-may-1950_enWhat I find kind of funny is that this always really triggers the Russian trolls. See, we celebrate the end of WWII on 8th of May, but because of time difference, the Russians celebrate their victory day on 9th May.
And we always get a bunch or Russian trolls on the EU socials about this matter. -

the correct answer here is…
the preliminary ruling procedure! It’s outlined in Article 267 TFEU.
If the ECJ holds that a member state's legislation conflicts with EU law, the member state is required to "disapply" such law, but the ECJ may not amend the member state's legislation itself -

🚛 20000 units / 10 units = 2000.
Shipping cost = 2000 x 8 USD = 16000 USDPriority Bonus:
4 000 000 USD x 0.5% = 20 000 USD3️⃣ Calculate ⚓️ and 🚛 revenues:
⚓️ 4 000 000 USD - 4 000 USD = 3.996 million USD
🚛 4 000 000 USD - 16 000 USD + 20 000 USD = 4.004 million USD

Correct Answer: D
1️⃣ Calculate the sales price of the items in Order A. This is:
200 USD/item x 20 000 items = 4 000 000 USD
2️⃣ Given that (i) only road delivery would allow the company to earn the priority bonus [11h x3 = 33h < 48h] and (ii) boat is the cheapest option, we can disregard rail.
Therefore:
⚓️ 20000 units / 5000 units per boat = 4 boats.
Shipping cost: 4 x 1000 USD = 4000 USD -

Rule 1: The vertical lines shift one place to the right each time. The right-most line reappears on the left.
Rule 2: The four shapes inside the rectangles and the circle rotate one place clockwise in each step.
[I selected the correct answer through a partial reasoning. I didn't guess rule 2 but I spotted from the sequence that the shape in the circle should be a ⭐ (C, D, E) and that the sticks should be low, high, medium (D)]
