"Join us for this workshop alongside our 19 September Palmerston North Repair Café, at the Palmerston North Community Leisure Centre, as part of Repair Festival Aotearoa.
The workshop will cover:
- Cleaning your sewing machine
- Oiling and what not to oil, type of oil to use
- Setting tensions
- Needle and thread selectionDaryl will have sewing machines there to demonstrate. He says that most problems with sewing machines are related to dirt, needles and not oiling properly
Please feel free to bring along fabric or material which gives an example of your sewing challenges. So if your overlocking is not nice and even, or you have challenges with grinning stiches (where it pulls apart after sewing)
