Now that I've had time to rewatch some of #ENGvNZL, I'm a little less down on the two teams. Cunningham-South had a standout performance, and man did Genge get targeted by the Kiwis.

A long time coming with that yellow card on NZ for tackles off the ball...except there is a head on the head, and the yellow card gets rescinded and handed to a different NZ player with some bunker review. What a final 10 minutes...

I know the penalty was for a "no arms tackle", but that Ben Earls attempt doesn't even qualify as a tackle so much at trying to become a human hurdle

I didn't hear Gardner say advantage was over, so why was it not back for the knock-on?
Edit: TMO correctly points out the knock-on was deliberate. So no try to NZ, but at least not a yellow.

England a little lucky with that penalty call for not rolling, because a little more accuracy and that counter-ruck was going to lead to a try.
England already down the other end though.

A frustrating match, neither team playing well. England’s faults were mostly poor execution on things like penalty kicks for touchdown not going out. If they fixed those this win would be a much bigger score.
New Zealand really lacked a game plan, they had no exit strategy so spent too long playing pointless rugby in their own 22. The few bright spots were from individual skill or England errors. They’d need a complete tactical rethink to challenge England again.

#Rugby #ENGvNZL I won't comment on if it's fair or not to have the Haka in Rugby as an unanswered tradition, but for as long as we do, respect it.
If there's one thing I can lean on when describing rugby to quizzical folks, it's that we are not rude. We hit each other, then we go for a beer together.
We are brothers and sisters in sport, if the other team doesn't show up, there's no game.
Rugby and the global community it supports is special. Please don't degrade it.

Tom Curry and Mario Itoje are simply owning everything they see. You'd expect to see New Zealand keeping the ball in field but it has been kick to touch after kick to touch from Barrett.
England still steering this match. New Zealand pulling bodies from the bench looking for fresh legs and fresh ideas.
