  1. Haris Rauf, like a ham actor nicking the Oscar winner's scene, finishes it with a four off the first ball of the 48th over. The last Pakistan wicket has put together an unbeaten 89 to win the match for them. Rauf, the number 11, ends with 7 not out from 19 balls with one four, while Shadab Khan, soon to be named Player of the Match, has 113 not out from 96 balls with 13 fours and five sixes. Whatever mathematical possibilities might theoretically remain in practice England's tournament is over, since losing this match from the position they were in is the sort of body blow that no side can bounce straight back from.

  2. Six to Shadab Khan, which means that Pakistan need just three more to win but also means that Haris Rauf the number 11 will be on strike for the start of the new over, the 48th of the innings. Debutant Henry Crocombe has been entrusted with the ball for this over.

  3. Shadab Khan is now the top scorer of the match - 107 not out to Duckett's 105 for England, and Pakistan now need only nine more to complete what would be a truly epic steal.

  4. Controversy as a Curran bouncer is adjudged legal by the umpires with many thinking it should have been signalled wide for height. Rauf, nursing a groin strain, manages a single to get Shadab Khan back on strike early in the over. Four off the next ball gets him to his maiden ODI ton, from 92 balls with 12 fours and four sixes.

  5. This is a rather familiar situation, albeit one more often seen in red ball cricket - England making a Horlicks of attempting to close out an opposition innings. Pakistan have progressed from 154-9 to 221-9, with Shadab Khan now on ODI career best 97 not out. Shadab pinned in front by Atkinson, but a lengthy replay confirms that there was a tiny edge into the pads and the match is not over.

  6. Coming down the pitch when facing a genuinely fast bowler such as Jamie Overton would be difficult for anyone to pull off. For a bowling all rounder in Shadab Khan to do so simply looks foolish.

  7. Pakistan in all sorts of trouble now - Arafat Minhas goes for 1, caught by Root off Overton, and Pakistan are 103-6, needing 139 more to win. England possibly keeping themselves in this series.

  8. Massive moment as Babar Azam is bowled by Atkinson for 10 to make it 31-3 in the seventh over. Pakistan need 211 more to win and have two batters together both on 0, and one of whom is only 19 years old.

  9. First international scalp for Crocombe, Saim Ayub gone for 6 (12) to a catch by Jamie Overton at second slip. Pakistan 27-2 from six overs, need 215 more to win from 44 overs.

  10. Atkinson ends up 36 not out, and England thanks to a last wicket stand end with 241 all out from 46.4 overs. If I did not know better than to make predictions about Pakistan cricket teams I would say they were nailed on to win.

  11. Century up for Ben Duckett, his fifth in ODIs, and it is come from 104 balls with 10 fours and two sixes, and he has done it on a day when the rest of the England top order have all failed, as shown by an England score of 178-6 in the 35th over.

  12. Leading edge back to the bowler (Razaullah) and Jacks goes for 13 to make it 175-6 in the 34th over. It is Razaullah's first ODI scalp. Duckett is still there on 98, and is joined by Liam Dawson.

  13. Jordan Cox walks open eyed straight into one of the more obvious traps ever set in international cricket. He goes caught by Babar Azam off Haris Rauf for 6 and England crash to 52-4 in the tenth over. They have strengthened their bowling after failing to defend 429 against Sri Lanka last time out, which means that S Curran is in at number six, which looks quite high for him at this level.

  14. It goes from bad to worse for England. Brook has been run out coming back for a second making England 19-3 after five overs. Brook gone for 1.

  15. England have made a dreadful start to today's must win match in the - after four overs they are 18-2.
