I had my belated birthday party yesterday, and the best gift I got was this. My mum found it while clearing the attic and framed it for me. It's an embroidery sampler I made in presumably 1983, when I was 7. We're interpreting the cryptic 5n918E as [unknown - perhaps 5 November?] 1983. 91 in stead of 19 is a common error I think for kids, since you say nine-ten, not ten-nine as you write. And E-3 is also an easy mistake, one I also made in my date of birth here. Anyway, I love the wonky randomness of everything.

I've just started on the diamond sampler from Steady Thread. I tried to work it on navy blue cloth with white/silverish thread and just couldn't do it. Amazing how you are able to do it on the black cloth! Here's a look at how mine is coming along.
