  2. 🎤 Public talk (in English) “Gravitational wave astronomy – quo vadis?” in Erlangen ✨

Michèle Heurs, professor at @unihannover, will give the Lise Meitner Lecture 2026 at the spring meeting of the @DPGPhysik in Erlangen. Entrance to the public evening lecture in English is free.

From the abstract: “Since the first direct detection of gravitational waves in 2015, we have opened an entirely new observation window into the Universe (complementary to the electromagnetic spectrum, neutrinos, and cosmic rays), heralding the era of multi-messenger astronomy with gravitational waves. A wealth of scientific insights has already been gained – but so much more is yet to be discovered!”

  5. I am happy that my travel companion from the previous post was appreciated. We went to Maastricht, joining a visit (by an EC project officer) to ETpathfinder.

  7. Today we completed the first ever general meeting of the Einstein Telescope. It was great to see the great mix of skill, expertise and experience in our team first hand. Looking forward to getting together again!
