Stjepan Medak wins the 25th International Istanbul Go Tournament
The 25th International Istanbul Go Tournament was played on 10 and 11 October at the Çengelköy campus of Doğuş University in Istanbul. A total of 130 players from eight countries took part in five rounds under the McMahon system. Stjepan Medak 6d from Zagreb won the tournament with five wins from five games.

Li Ting 1p wins the European Women’s Go Championship 2026!
The European Women's Go Championship took place in the London Go Centre, UK, this year. It gathered 22 participants from 11 countries for five round of exciting fights. Eventually, Li Ting 1p from Austria won the event and therefor added a 4th EWGC title to her collection!

The 2nd Pisa International Weiqi Cup took place at the Meeting Art Craft Center of Pisa, Italy, on September 5-6, as a Bonus C-level of the Grand Prix Circuit. A total of 52 players from 13 countries participated. Shin Youngsoo 7d from Korea won with a perfect score.

The 54th Prague Go tournament-Old Hunter's Cup took place in Prague, Czechia, on May 1-3, gathering 158 players from 21 countries. Andrii Kravets 3p from Ukraine won the tournament.

The European Pair Go Championship 2026 took place on April 25-26 in Bratislava, Slovakia. 20 pairs were competing in this 6 rounds event.
