It's great to see my friend Aaron Baker quoted in this story!
As to more substantive thoughts --- my own thoughts on the new Social Studies standards are that thanks to SCOTUS (in the Mahmoud v. Taylor decision), parents with religious objections to the standards (including Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Native American traditionalists, Wiccans, as well as many Christians) can and should object to this new curriculum and use their power as parents to opt their kids out of this curriculum which promotes Christian Nationalism, in violation of the parents' and student's religious beliefs.

Superintendent Ryan Walters just loves to waste tax payer dollars, not only for his agency's corrupt financial shenanigans but also by revoking the teaching credentials of teachers who will be suing, and who will be winning.
I say this because almost everytime Ryan Walters loses in court --- the state of Oklahoma has to pick up the tag for the other side's attorney fees. This will be very costly to Oklahoma.
Personally, I don't understand why the Oklahoma #GOP stands for this. I thought they were the party of cutting taxes, not wasting money.
And #GovernorKevinStitt
-- where do you stand? Do you like paying state money to big law firms? It is no surprise that our state ranks so low in education when we keep burning money in legal fees.#FreeSpech #FirstAmendment #Oklahoma #OKEd #Libraries #Law #EdLaw #Education
