I know of one gifted crackpot who used to be employed gainfully in the fields of humor and satire, who has taken a solemn pledge not to write anything funny or lighthearted or “insignificant” again till things get straightened around in the world. Wanna be friends? I value #sincerity, #earnestness, #kindness and #authenticity. I believe that serious, meaningful friendships can be formed online. Every friend was once a stranger.
I haven’t really stayed in one place for long, which means I have met loads of people over the years, but the friendships generally drift off because I wander around so much.
I figure this can be offset by striking up a friendship online, where geographical non-proximity is the defining feature. So, yeah 👍🏼
