I just rewatched #DunePartOne, my third viewing, and it's a so much better now* that I know "the rest of the story" (yes, I know part 3, #Messiah, is coming but you know exactly what I mean so hush and don't be that asshole).

Luckily I can watch #DunePartTwo again in #laser full-screen #IMAX again tomorrow, the last scheduled showing, at least for now.

*I really enjoyed part one without part two

And there's no subtlety in #DunePartTwo in depicting the #Fremen as being based on #Arab and #Muslim peoples and #culrures, #Spice as #oil, and all of the "great houses" as primarily the #European-based and derived parasites of the "West".

I'm typically clueless on #subtext and didn't get any of that until I read what people posted after #DunePartOne.

#DunePartTwo is a lot of #movie, in a very good way, and the most visceral sonic experience I've had since I saw #Inception, also in #IMAX (it has a super-low bass you can't hear or feel without a decent #audio setup), at #UdvarHazy in 2011.

Great story and beautiful cinematography (like #DunePartOne) combined with full IMAX sound – this is a great #film experience.

After seeing many movies there, I was thinking maybe the sound at the #MODS #AutoNation #theater was subpar.

I was wrong.

I can’t believe I only saw this hilarious clip now. 🤣

#Dune - part one (2021) - was gibt es dazu zu sagen, was nicht schon geteilt wurde? #DenisVilleneuve episches Meisterwerk ist so rewatchable wie ein meditatives Erleben. Dieser magische *SciFi ist eine Verneigung vor Kinomagie.

Had a pretty uneventful flight from #Frankfurt to #Vienna. Waiting for my final connection to #Sudbury. Pretty easy trip overall. Did some coding on the plane, watched #DunePartOne, napped... and met some nice folks from Owen Sound!

Last night my nephew, who graduated from #USC a couple of years ago and still lives in #LA, told us he signed an #NDA to see a 3.5 hour first cut of an upcoming major #MotionPicture.

Last night I saw the extended second #trailer for #DunePartTwo, which looks as good as #DunePartOne.
