@ccferrie @HazelChu How far off the coast is the Dublin Array planned to be? (And I wonder if the furious people trying to stymie it in Dun Laoghaire would be so kind as to pay my electricity bill if it doesn't happen?) And may I request that the Array be red-and-white striped to match the Poolbeg Chimneys - and as a tourist draw?

It should be obvious to everyone that, quite apart from the urgency of decarbonising our economy as rapidly as possible, becoming dependent on LNG from the US or Russia is a serious geopolitical risk. This is why I strongly support the proposed Dublin Array offshore wind farm and have made a submission to An Bord Pleanala in support.

The proposed #DublinArray windfarm is under public consultation.
In my experience, objectors are overrepresented during public consultation.If you agree that creating sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels is key to turning the tide on #ClimateChange, try to go along on one of the days to provide some balance.
These things are our decisions to make, but someone else will make them if we don't.
