There are signs of slightly more civilized life, but we’re still at least a week out from a finished kitchen with countertops (and a zhuzhed-up wet bar with countertop).
For at least this week, no sinks other than in bathrooms. The downstairs powder room is nearly done - similar to hall bath. I ordered a couple of collapsible tubs for washing mugs and things. No microwave unless we set it up in dining room. We managed to grill burgers after work, but had to save more money at Menard’s first and get more drawer pulls.
The living room is bare-ish but has comfy chairs and TV trays. Currently enjoying a mug o’ java while the painters work in the plastic-draped family room. No TV as the family room and media is completely draped in plastic. And we can’t find the remote.
We’re hosting a party in early June; project was delayed due to spouse’s super fun fun kidney stone interlude and the usual renovation delays.
It’ll be fine. This is fine.
