So I'm getting discouraged with my ability to accurately size the objects I'm drawing in my drawing class. I always make them bigger than the paper. I hear that's a newbie thing. Any tricks to fixing it?

I just signed up for a #drawing class, followed by a #painting class.

Forty years ago I wanted to go into art and design instead of traditional college and my parents said no. I listened to them. Today I listened to that young lady who wanted art.

Practicing shapes and perspective is like working on music scales. Practicing a lot helps, but practicing wrong can make things difficult.

My problem I'm working on, I can draw very straight lines, but when I try to draw cubes in different perspectives, they look a bit like jello cubes. I used to be decent at cubes, but never tried a lot of perspectives before.
