  3. "Dont' Worry Darling" (2022) is the second movie directed by Olivia Wilde. It's a solid sci-fi, which brings memories of "The Matrix," a bit of "Barbie" (the world seems off in a certain way), "The Stepford Wives," but also "The Talos Principle." I had fun watching it, but it kind of flew by. It doesn't really say anything, although it does it in a new way. The "villain" was apparently modeled after Jordan Peterson, which is a funny tongue-in-a-cheek.

  4. Finally got around to watching #DontWorryDarling
and really enjoyed it. Dark, but gorgeous filmmaking with very effective sound design. Pugh is amazing (as always), but also really impressed with Pine, who has lots of great scenes to chew. Didn't know where it was gonna go, but was not disappointed. Recommended 👍

    Gaudiu!

  6. pues #DontWorryDarling me ha parecido una castaña, eh? Aburrida, el único interés para acabarla es enterarte del plot twist y… meh.

  7. Ever since reading her comments on #DontWorryDarling rebutting director #OliviaWilde's baffling and inaccurate description of the movie, then watching a #YouTube video of her eating some of her favorite English foods (her voice, attitude, and that laugh!), I've developed a huge crush on #FlorencePugh.

I already enjoyed her acting, but during that period I learned a tiny bit about her as a person, and she's a bendy delight 💖

And #DWD is pretty good, too bad Olivia sabotaged their #movie.

  8. Watched Don’t Worry Darling. Thought it was fabulous!

    I don’t understand the bad reviews 🤷

#filmprat #DontWorryDarling #FlorencePugh #OliviaWilde #NorskTut

  10. So I finished #DontWorryDarling on #HBOMax and I downgraded if from “meh” to just bad. The #movie was a boring derivative mess that substitutes actual suspense and intrigue with an overdone score. It doesn’t trust the audience to discern the theme of abuse and gaslighting without *incredibly* obvious dialogue. As @pimlius noted it seems “like a dumb person’s idea of a smart movie.” The #film does have attractive costumes and a nice set design.

  11. In other non Twitter related news, I’m finally watching #DontWorryDarling and thus far give it a resounding “meh.”

  12. CW: I watched "Don't Worry Darling"

and I mostly liked it. There is a recent theme of forced insanity as a metaphor for manipulation of women - see #1899Netflix - and I get it. Women are rightfully pissed about being gaslit. Society reinforces the lies, makes them wonder if they are crazy, discourages them from asserting themselves. #DontWorryDarling takes this trope to Clockwork Orange levels of horror to make its point, but loose plot threads and a handsome but vague villain were forgettable. 7/10

  13. That’s a good point, but I never go into a movie with all of my expectations formed by just the trailer. In fact the only expectation I get from trailers is how it will feel, and the cinematography. On those points, I’m sure that if I went to go see #DontWorryDarling I wouldn’t have been disappointed, but the movie would still be a bad movie.

I actually didn’t see it because people said it was bad lol
