The not-so-secret price of an idol-style stream of a 3D Concert of the polish of hololive/nijisanji/vspo is in the price range of US$100k, including guests, rehearsals, studio rentals, mocap, stages, props, ...
Which is exactly why it's essential for to sell enough merch in order to at least break even. And those big companies stream it for free. 🤯
Dokibird's trying to do it on her own without company backing, and the complexity scares me...
hi sorry just wanted to clear up misinformation but it's the budget for the 3D debut itself ! I saw a lot of dragoons were confused why it would cost that much but It doesn't mean that it will cost 100k in total but it's what I'm setting aside to make it possible. My budget is actually the regular price range for these for similar debuts that a lot of ppl see from bigger companies. The birthday concert was 50k and the debut itself will be much bigger with a bigger set up, more guests and requires to rent the studio for longer. It also goes into the staff at the 3D motion capture studio, designing the various custom 3D stages/props, the post production team/staff, renting the studio + hotels/flights for all my guests !
It is possible to do a 3D debut similar to the big companies but I'm just an indie so a lot of things have to be made from scratch and thats where majority of the budget goes. that's why im working extra hard this year so I can give my dragoons the debut that they've been waiting 4+ years for !

I can't believe Nijisanji got their remaining livers together and basically had them side against Dokibird, go on about harassment (which is fair) and the reputation of AnyColor, claiming Doki put them at risk of getting doxxed, and then publicly showing screenshots that was allegedly supposed to stay private....
....and that this happened AT THE SAME TIME Doki's Neopets stream was supposed to happen.
