Well folks… after who knows how many years of paying child support in puppy kisses, I’ve officially hung up my uterus. 🎉✂️
I survived the storms.
I found my rescue.
I got my freedom ride.
And now… I got spayed.
No more surprise litters.
No more deadbeat boyfriends.
No more men telling me, “Just one more litter, it’ll be good for us.” 🙄
From here on out, I’m embracing my best life:
🐾 Sleeping in comfy beds.
🐾 Collecting treats instead of puppies.
🐾 Living my “hot girl retirement” era.
🐾 Being spoiled rotten without a single diaper to change.
Turns out getting rescued means more than just leaving the shelter—it means someone cared enough to make sure I’d never be used for breeding again.
My only job now?
To be loved.
To be spoiled.
And to remind everyone that every dog deserves a future that’s about belly rubs… not babies." -

I've enjoyed updates from them, Trevor was allowed to go at his own pace and the typical loving CKCS temperment replaced the shy frightened one I picked up. We used to run a rescue, well, my wife and the board and I, and I remember tryign to explain it to a friend who just didn't understand how fostering worked---how we could let them go.
"I have to say, what we do can be very hard...lots of sad dogs, sad situations stupid stupid STUPID people....it's hard.
Fostering saves more than the one dog, too. By fostering, a space opens up for another stray, another hurt or abandonded dog, another unwanted litter. (We ALWAYS take the mother---always)
But when you see them wag their tails, well it's magical. They get over the fear. They come TO you, not run away from you.
Their broken bodies heal. Their broken spirits are mended. Their desire to please you grows.They play.
They get their hair back!
If they lose a leg, they figure it out.
THEN!
You find that person who takes them home. We've witnessed at least three dogs pick their person, too.
It's amazing. You can actually SEE them bond. And off they go.
It's really good.THAT IS RESCUE, my friends. We thank you for your support."
