Almost all 60+ dogs saved from dirty Peoria home are out of PD custody
Peoria police announced Thursday that nearly all of the more than 60 dogs saved from an 'unlivable' home last month are adopted or are in animal rescues. Six Valley animal rescues jumped into help get the pups to dog shelters. But advocates highlighted the shelter crunch and investigators said no arrests have been made. Indulge me...this is my boy Micky the Wonder Boxer, around 2016 or 17, with a little foster puppy named Smitty. Micky was a huge help to the rescue meeting new dogs with care, or play, or ignoring if they were mean.
But he shone with puppies. I bet he was responsible for at least 2 or 3 dozen well-adjusted puppies over the years.
