Marvel Ultimate Alliance with Perry Constantine (Superhero Cinephiles, Japan on Film)
This week on play comics we ask ourselves what happens if you you can’t decide what you want to make a game about. Should you just give up? Should you really dig into your soul and decide what you’re super passionate about? Should you look and see if there’s any other related media coming out that you can tie this game into? Or should you act like you’re at the end of five different boxes of sugary cereal and justice dump the mall into a single bowl and see what happens?
There’s certainly one thing that I made my mind up about this one, and that’s how Perry Constantine from Superhero Cinephiles and Japan on Film needed to come by and help me make sure that I kept everything straight here. And it’s a good thing too because with more playable character than I want to count spread out across 7 consoles upon release and a few more as back catalogs were taken advantage of it would have been really easy to miss something here.
So was there an actual story for this game? Or was it just a giant excuse to squeeze in as many tidbits as they could so the other kids would think they’re cool? You’ll have to listen to find out!

CW: SPOILER: Latest MCU (2025-2030)
1. Thunderbolts (Earth-199999; a.k.a. Prime MCU) ending, the Fantastic Four from Earth-828 arrives.
2. The Fantastic Four: First Steps (Earth-828) ending, Doctor Doom showed up
3. There's going to be a The Fantastic Four: Doomsday
4. Then there's going to be an Avengers: DoomsdayIn Avengers: Doomsday (presumably happening on Earth-199999), the Fantastic Four (Earth-828), the X-Men (from what Earth are they again from?), and the new Avengers (a.k.a. Thunderbolts), are going to team up to battle Doctor Doom.
That much is clear.
So …
A. Is it safe to assume that Doctor Doom kidnapped Franklin fom Earth-828 and brought him to Earth-199999? Which led to the Fantastic Four arriving on Earth-199999 as shiwn in the ending of the Thunderbolts?
B. And for whatever reason, the X-Men also arrived on Earth-199999 and joined with the Avengers and the Fantastic Four?
C. It won't end well. Doctor Doom escaped to the TVA to kill Loki.
D. Earth-616 is low-tech as far as Earth-828 is concerned.
E. So, the new Avengers (Thunderbolts), the X-Men, and everyone else, joined The Fantastic Four in "The Fantastic Four: Doomsday" because it is only there that they can build a teleportation device that can go to the TVA.
Once they reach the TVA, well, they hunt Doctor Doom.
However, when they arrived at the TVA, they were too late, TVA-Loki is dead. The one sitting on the throne is now Doctor Doom.
Then comes, Avengers: Secret Wars
